Two lipsticks and a lover

One word describes this book: phenomenal ....
It starts off saying that all you need to be a french woman is two lipsticks and a lover ... after reading on I found you need much more than 2 lipsticks ... You need day creams, night creams, eye creams, body creams ... You need a cleanser to use when you have make-up on and a cleanser for when you dont have make-up on. And then you still need to tone and moisturise. If you go to bed wearing make-up, you could age six days in one night.... Now i'm a follower of the cleanse tone moisturise rule but no ways am i putting so many different creams on, its insane.

Apart from the above, i learnt some great stuff ...

1. French women dont like to exercise. They prefer using over the counter methods ... like cellulite creams etc. And shopping is their form of exercise ... Its true, if you shop a lot and try on lots of clothes, you get a full body workout ... I'm part french there already. Yay

2.French women love lingerie ... One lady in the book had 365 different pairs, for each day of the year ... insane if u ask me, but thats a french woman ... must go all out in every aspect of your life! The bra was invented by a french lady, Herminie Cadolle in 1889. Thank you Herminie for getting rid of the corset :)

3. Accessorising your outfit is very important ... You should always buy the most expensive bag and shoes and they will make up any outfit ... Ooh this is so nice for me, i'm a bag fanatic ... Infact a good bag is actually an investment ...Think i should invest in that Prada bag i always wanted ... *sigh* the prada bag of my dreams

4.In france, family mealtimes are sacred. "Eating together as a family is an essential part of growing up for children. How will they ever learn how to eat properly if we dont eat with them? And, what will it do for our relationship with them if we exclude them from our meals?"

5. French women dont know the rule about staying away from your best friends man ... In fact, in France it is taken for granted that your best friend WILL cheat with your husband ...So all women keep their friend and family lives seperate ... This is a scary thought ... A survey done on french women asking about having an affair on holiday produced a result of 2% against it ... 98 out of every 100 french women would have affairs ... Keep your partners away from France girls!!

6. For a french woman, its not enough to just be chic and beautiful ... one must be intelligent too ... Infact, the top 5 role models for a french woman are all elegant, beautiful women who made names for themselves more for their intelligence and contributions to literature and politics than their beauty and intrigue ...

All in all, i think a french woman epitomises everything all women should strive for (except the smoking 60 cigs a day and stealing your best friends husband) ... but the way they look after their bodies, and their minds ...
