Oh my god ... what an episode tonight ... i cant believe that crazy woman shot Norah ... i actually started liking Norah abit ... I mean, its not like she stole Lynettes husband ... She didnt deserve to die ... but then TV wouldnt be so exciting hey!
So, i was asked if, when im married, I would kill my husband if he cheated on me ... and the answer is no ... I wouldnt go all psycho and hold a supermarket hostage but I would definitely get my revenge! Who knows ... maybe cheat on him too, they say theres nothing like a taste of your own medicine hey ... haha!!! It's scary though ... i had a dream about having an affair last night ... eerie stuff!!
But what other ways are there of revenge-taking??? Blackmail?? Divorce?? Something to think about ... Gonna sleep on that :)
Good Night

Random Thoughts ...
Imagination was given to us
to compensate for what we aren't...
&
A sense of humour was provided
to console us for what we are ...

21 grams ...
Remember the movie 21 grams ... In the beginning, I think, the guy says "They say we all lose 21 grams at the exact moment of our death ... everyone. The weight of a stack of nickels. The weight of a chocolate bar. The weight of a hummingbird..."
I had this conversation with my cousin the other day when she told me she saw something very interesting about this on discovery channel some time back ... Apparently they did research into how much a soul weighs ... now this has been in my mind for quite a while so i decided to do a little bit of my own research tonight!
A doctor Duncan MacDougall did this research in 1906 and found the soul to weigh about three-fourths of an ounce ... How true is this? Do our souls actually weigh something? And surely, if they have weight they must be having some chemical composition? But anyway, this doctor says he proved the existense of the soul ... The Quraan has spoken of this over a thousand years ago ... But you know scientists ... for them 'seeing is believing' ...
Has anyone done any research into this topic in today's times, 100 years after Dr MacDougall? Surely with the technology available today they could come up with some conclusive scientific evidence... not that we need evidence, but it is very interesting !!

Appreciation ...
ap·pre·ci·a·tion [uh-pree-shee-ey-shuhn]
–noun
1. gratitude; thankful recognition: They showed their appreciation by giving him a gold watch.
2. the act of estimating the qualities of things and giving them their proper value.
3. clear perception or recognition, esp. of aesthetic quality: a course in art appreciation.
4. an increase or rise in the value of property, goods, etc.
5. critical notice; evaluation; opinion, as of a situation, person, etc.
6. a critique or written evaluation, esp. when favorable.
It's so true that just being appreciated makes you want to do more for people ... and yet, the more you do for people the less they appreciate you. Murphy's law i guess or what?!!
Take family for example ... You do the world for them .. look after their kids, cook for them when they ill, wait up for them when they coming home late ... the list is endless ... yet when ONE thing doesn't go their way, the first person they blow up at is you - yes you, not their spouse or their parents, you - the little sister that sits silent and takes the crap! ... why?!! What's a girl to do?
Is it because being overly nice all the time makes people take advantage of you?! what gives a person the right to be horrible to another person who's nothing but nice ... I think i need to stop this nice behaviour, and just do things that please me ... I'm not here to please the world, lifes's too short ...
Why cant good deeds cause good deeds in return like in the movie "pay it forward" .... everyone needs to learn a great lesson from that movie ... because the way i see it, if life carries on the way it is where being nice gets you kicked, the world is heading for worse disaster than it already is in ... Shucks!

Carpe Diem !!!
I received the e-mail below today and it really makes so much sense ... It goes with the whole idea of not worrying about the future and living in the present ... Enjoy !!
Too many people put off something that brings them joy just because they haven't thought about it, don't have it on their schedule, didn't know it was coming or are too rigid to depart from their routine.
I got to thinking one day about all those women on the Titanic who passed up dessert at dinner that fateful night in an effort to cut back. From then on, I've tried to be a little more flexible.
How many women out there will eat at home because their husband didn't suggest going out to dinner until after something had been thawed? Does the word "refrigeration" mean nothing to you?
How often have your kids dropped in to talk and sat in silence while you watched 'Desperate Housewives' on television?
I cannot count the times I called my sister and said, "How about going to lunch in a half hour?" She would gas up and stammer, "I can't. I have clothes on the line. My hair is dirty. I wish I had known yesterday, I had a late breakfast, It looks like rain." And my personal favourite: "It's Monday." She died a few years ago. We never did have lunch together.
Because Australians cram so much into their lives, we tend to schedule our headaches. We live on a sparse diet of promises we make to ourselves when all the conditions are perfect!
We'll go back and visit the grandparents when we get Steve toilet-trained. We'll entertain when we replace the living-room carpet. We'll go on a second honeymoon when we get two more kids out of college.
Life has a way of accelerating as we get older. The days get shorter, and the list of promises to ourselves gets longer. One morning, we awaken, and all we have to show for our lives is a litany of "I'm going to," "I plan on," and "Someday, when things are settled down a bit."
When anyone calls my 'seize the moment' friend, she is open to adventure and available for trips. She keeps an open mind on new ideas. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious. You talk with her for five minutes, and you're ready to trade your bad feet for a pair of Rollerblades and skip an elevator for a bungee cord.
My lips have not touched ice cream in 10 years. I love ice cream. It's just that I might as well apply it directly to my stomach with a spatula and eliminate the digestive process. The other day, I stopped the car and bought a triple-decker. If my car had hit an iceberg on the way home, I would have died happy.
Now...go on and have a nice day. Do something you WANT to......not something on your SHOULD DO list. If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting?
Make sure you read this to the end; you will understand why I sent this to you.
Have you ever watched kids playing on a merry go round or listened to the rain lapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight or gazed at the sun into the fading night? Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask "How are you?" do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in your bed with the next hundred chores running through your head? Ever told your child, "We'll do it tomorrow." And in your haste, not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch? Let a good friendship die? Just call to say "Hi"?
When you worry and hurry through your day, it is like an unopened gift....Thrown away.... Life is not a race. Take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over.
"Life may not be the party we hoped for... but while we are here we might as well dance!"

The Beginning ...
Salaams, Hello to all ...
So ... let me start by saying a little about myself ...
I'm just a girl trying to discover herself ... This blog is for me to utilise my excess creative energy (apparently its not good to let energies go to waste)
I'm currently studying for my BCom honours specialising in finance and i know that i like what im studying, thank god!! (its a bit late to change now) ... Also i'm in the process of looking for a job ... i need to get out of the house ... my mind is becoming obsolete! I have a few personal (not professional) goals ... like look for happiness and inner contentment (and world peace yadda yadda) ... Firstly and mainly, i'm trying my best to be a better muslim, a better person and by doing this, i'm sure ill achieve my goals!
So anyway ... theres a saying that goes something to the effect of "you'll never know where you heading until you know where you've been" ... something like that ... i think it means that your past defines you, that past occurences are what make you what you are today ... personally i think that you shouldnt let past experiences rule your future ...
so my plan is to let go of the past, stop worrying about the future and live for today!!!
I hope i can keep up with this writing ... will try my best to post as often as possible!
