The Hook-up

I have a new word for people that try to hook you up with their nephews, sons, etc ... Gonna call em 'hookers' ... Ok, i didn't come up with that one, actually my dad did ... lol!
So, anyway, my aunt has been organising this hook up for me with one of her friends sons for the past couple of months ... now she finally managed to get us both in the same place at the same time so she could let him see me ... I wasn't told about this apparent 'viewing' ... how unfair is that! Why wasn't I allowed to see him? (Thank god for my clever sister-in-law ... she had a good luck!) So this guy checks me out, decides that yeah i look cool so he'll give it a shot ... Then she tells me she gave him my number ... So, we had about 3 phone and a couple of sms conversations over the past 3 weeks ... Is that ok?? how often are u supposed to speak to someone you trying to get to know?? And how much effort should you, as the female party, put in?
I have no idea how this hooking up thing works ... the last few relationships of mine were 'hooked up' by me and the other persons ... no other involved parties whatsoever... But then, those ended so maybe these 'arranged' relationships work better ... I'm slowly beginning to understand the concept behind arranged marriage ...
Maybe taking things slowly is better than flying into a whirlwind romance where the couple is madly in love with each other after a week cos those end just as quickly ... But how slow can you take things, especially when 'the hooker' keeps calling to find out how things are going ... what must i even say cos i really dont know ... This pressure is too much for me to handle ...
